11 Tips For Writing a Professional CV

How Long Should Be Your CV?
This is perhaps the most commonly asked question when it comes to writing a CV, and the answer is simple, the CV you are writing should not be longer than two A4 sides, unless you have very extensive experience and compete for a place in the top management.
A well-written biography at first shows what is most important, but also contains all relevant information. To accomplish your goal, we advise you to customize a resume objective that you want to achieve (job, further studies, scholarships, conferences).
Typography Used In CV
Fonts and size are closely related to the above tip, because they directly participate in CV styling. Usually the CV should be written in font Arial or Times New Roman, and a font size should be among 10 and 12 (unless you apply for employment in company where officially is used other typography).
You should not use font size bigger than 12 because this leaves a bad impression, as well as smaller font size than 10 because is not legible. Do not write a complete biography in large letters, or use colorful letters or too oblique and underlined letters. All this contributes to poor visibility and lack of seriousness of the resume.
No matter how long it is, make sure that the overall look of the CV gives a look of neat and educated person. The resume at some ideal standards should include the following: personal data, education, work experience, awards you have, relevant courses and seminars, foreign languages and computer skills, your qualities, hobbies, and other observations if any.
Here you should specify the name, date of birth, address, e-mail, telephone and citizenship (which should not be confused with nationality). If you have two addresses specify both, possibly with the dates when you can be found on them. Personal data can be written in a smaller font, if you want to save space for other data.
If your resume attracts someone’s attention, that person will look more carefully at your personal data. It’s just that they are there. In particular, do not try to sugarcoat the text with different types of letters, drawings, and animations and so on. The only thing you need to pay attention is that the name must be written in font size that is different from the other text, so that the reader can clearly recognize the owner of the CV.
Title (“Biography”, “Curriculum Vitae”) should stand in the upper part, but if you do not have the space, you can leave it out, because if you write a good resume, it will be clear that it is your resume and it should not be emphasized.
With personal information, from the right, you can enter your picture. The purpose of the photo is to help the employer easily recollect you after the interview, especially if there are lots of candidates.
Photos should be smaller, similar to photo of identity cards (unless the nature of the position in the ad stated otherwise). You must not send the photo as a separate file, or to enter photo where you do not look serious and professional.
